Superb, and I agree with the previous comment, so well written. Love your sense of humour too.

We're fairly new to bondage as you know (at least, to anything other than being tied to the bed and winging it), but what you say absolutely chimes with the experiences we've had so far. We'd sum it up by saying bondage and associated toy play isn't about pain, it's about the sensual experience. Suggestion, teasing, role play, the occasional often unexpected flick of a crop/flogger/paddle and application/insertion of vibes/plugs etc, all while restrained, blindfolded and maybe gagged, all add up to the most erotic and arousing of experiences.

On the subject of pain, when we decided to play with a crop and flogger we did so thinking we'd give it a try and if it was too painful we might use them only for photo shoots. What we found was that they weren't nearly as painful as they looked or sounded. We found they generally gave a nice sting that was stimulating rather than teeth-gritting. Some strokes would be a little firmer and sting more, but the variation - and anticipation of just how the next stroke will feel, and where it will land - is part of the fun. And then there's the fun to be had by dragging the crop/flogger over your playmate's body/intimate bits before making a strike, mmm...

There was that one time Julia smacked the underside of my balls way too hard while I was restrained against a door, but we'll not swell on that lol.

Something that struck us only after our first bondage session was that it really heightens the sexual experience, by prolonging it. We had a three hour session that involved J tied to a chair, then tied to a door, then bed. Full sex was only a small proportion of that time, but we were both in a heightened state of excitement throughout (and when it happened, the full sex was mind blowing).

Your bondage play was an inspiration for us when we decided to experiment in this way. We're glad we did. Thank you!

We remain bondage newbies, but we plan to get plenty more practice in.
