I get self-conscious about talking dirty myself, though. I overthink it or get nervous and my voice goes up, so it sounds like I'm trying to do a baby voice.

It's a lot easier for me in sign language. I'm hard of hearing but raised in hearing culture and a native English speaker, only learned of Deaf culture as an adult. I find it much more natural and comfortable to express myself using my hands, instead of my vocal chords.
