Just as toilet paper became plentiful there is now a shortage of real Christmas trees.
Evening ju

Hey lip
I've been buying a package of tp every other shopping trip, I'm just about out of storage space. I have over a years supply on hand, I'm going to have to join TP anonymous so I can stop myself from
(3 years ago)
😜😢
Is it taking over the beer larder?
buying more. Wish I had some good news about the Christmas tree.

No, I have shelf and floor space in one of the bedrooms.

We got a fake tree when the cat joined us. It just seems strange in a country that is mostly forest to have a shortage

I have a fake tree too. Industry is pretty efficient, things go out of tilt when there is a sharp change in demand.

They are blaming boredom for the shortage believe it or not. People are going out to cut their own trees because they can do it safely

Need me to send you a roll?
Not yet. I still have a stash from the first shortage, but it's the John Wayne TP.
I don't know what John Wayne tp is?
Ju, it's rough, it's tough and it doesn't take any shit off anyone LOL
(3 years ago)
Somehow I came across an article a few weeks ago about a weed (name now forgotten) that makes the best TP. Soft and absorbent. Google it. You might have some locally tongue

Ju, can I please send you a spray painted tumbleweed to use as a Christmas tree?
juicy likes this
I would LOVE that! I have only seen tumbleweed in cartoons and movies. My bucket list includes seeing them in the "wild"
I might have a really weird bucket list but they fascinate me
(3 years ago)
They run wild in the western part of our state! And people do, collect, spray paint and decorate them... Usually see them painted white, silver or gold......
juicy and happyhumper69 like this
I imagine a pyramid of them would make a great outdoor decoration!
BTW...Happy Birthday Tug smile
Thanks Ju, and us rednecks build pyramids out of round bales, not tumbleweeds!

Plenty of TP here. Paper towel is a bit more of a challenge but I got my Costco order about 2 weeks ago now so am good for a few months

There's no liquor shortage!

juicy and lennynatural like this
Nor here! There was for a time a shortage of beer in cans though because people weren't returning them. That seems to have leveled out
(3 years ago)

I seldom buy cans, unless we're going to the lake, or a game.

I even take bottles camping. I don't portage any more so the weight isnt an issue
(3 years ago)

Portage, I forgot that word existed! My portage consists of cargo from truck to lake house, kinda like taking the groceries in. LOL
(3 years ago)
I do short hike ins anymore. Carrying the canoe and a weeks supplies are left behind like my youth unsure

It has been a while for me too. Bear barrels and the whole 9 yards, I miss it

It's amazing how much bear barrels cost now!

Many parks here will lend them to you to protect the wild life. I miss the views from the thunder boxes smile
(3 years ago)
That's actually a good idea, the places we used to go in Wyoming, Vermont were desolate. No outpost for miles
