I am loving the green dots. A feature we should have had years ago. I know some have turned them off, and that's fine too! But they are handy when live interacting to know the other person is around.
I agree with Dan, it would be nice if the block feature actually block you from seeing people AND them from seeing your profile and pics and anything you say anywhere on the site

We've been asking for a full block for years NN. You said it wasn't possible without I effect starting the site from scratch. It is however available on other sites and is needed.

It would stop many support tickets being created because the.baiting can go both ways. If neither party sees eachother, there would be no drama to report.

Is there any way of blocking so you then don’t see blocked users’ pictures on your feed? Looks like the only things you can block is people’s interactions with you.

pro tip: when you block someone here you cannot "like" their statuses. in fact you cannot see them. try using the block you have at least?

The complexity of what you are asking re: the blocks is immense. It's why we haven't done it, but I will talk to dev team again about it and see if we can think of a way that wont totally kill perfmce

How hard can it be? If I fill in all the criteria on the block list, that, that person's entire persona disappears from NN in regard to my view? Maybe you give too many choices on the block list

How about just one * I no longer wish to see this person in NN* No multiple choice menu, a simple one, be gone. Good luck with the block list. NN is still the best social site on the net.

So, in essence just one block system. no menu where you have to chose whether people can see pics, status comments or status updates..etc. just a simple block. The person I block disappears.

Totally agree Flitt. That very thing stops me from posting...to many stalkers and weirdos. Block button would stop alot of crap and I for one would happily post again.
