Friday, June 23, 2006, 9:45:21 AM- Time to party
Yesterday was a good day. Had my present, did some catching up with friends... Yah, a very SATISFYING day.

And today. It will be a very busy day. I know that already. Boyfriend is coming home from his business trip. Need to pick him up. Luckily I don’t have to work this afternoon. So I can prepare myself. Then going to my parents place. To help set things up, but mostly to have some time alone with my mum. Because when the party start, I’m sure it will be difficult to catch her.

So at 6 pm people are expected. Like always, this will be a slow process until everyone arrives. For some reason people always come a bit later. So hopefully everyone is around 8 pm, because then we all will sit down. And I’m already wondering what kind of food we will be surviving. And mostly looking forward to the dessert. My favourite part of the evening, the different kind of pies (hopefully chocolate ones too). Mmmmmm.

I asked my dad yesterday who was coming, and besides a part of the family, ‘BOY NEXT DOOR’ and his girlfriend is also coming. Oooh, and that is something I really look forward too. It has been ages that we have spoken. ‘Boy next door’ was sort of my first boyfriend. Not the kind of boyfriend we all know, but at the age of 16 – 17 he could have become a serious boyfriend. But yah, things didn’t go like I wanted it. But we still have a lot of fun when we see each other. His a nut, and such a bad boy. I could tell u a lot about him, what kind of mischief we did, but I will spare you people with details. Don’t want to ruin my good reputation over here.

Anyhow, it will be fun to see him and some other people. And if my dad pulls it off, we will have a little bit fireworks at 2 am this night. But that’s not certain, seeing he had to get some permits just to do fireworks. Still can’t believe you need a permit for that. So yah, it will be a busy and exciting day.

So now I’m off, getting a bite before I pick up boyfriend. You people all have a nice day, and I will tell u more about it tomorrow. I’m out.

Thursday, June 22, 2006, 9:32:44 PM- Bombs from the sky
Well, today was a busy day for me. So many things to do in one day. Had a lot of meetings, calls, even a video conference again. And between that all I had to find that present for my mum. Luckily I had made some calls during the day, so I knew already some shops where I could probably find something. And I was right, one antique shop had something. It’s a little statue. I’m sure my mum will like it. She likes things like that. And I’m relieved that I didn’t have to give her a blender.

So coming home, all happy, I bumped against mrs Tinkerbell. So she had to tell me some news. Apparently she visits the neighbour above us to complaint about the noise. They have two kids, and they play a lot. I can imagine it is very disturbing, but I also know she is a thought and difficult lady. So anyhow, she asked if I also find it disturbing, but to be honest, I never really hear something. But I’m not home during the day, so maybe that is the reason why I don’t really notice it. So now she considered those two kids like the devil. She thinks they are terrorising her. Since she asked the neighbour upstairs, they are making more noise then ever. And today, she was sitting on her balcony, just enjoying the sun. And one of the kids dropped a water balloon on her balcony. Splashing Sissy and Sassy, her two dogs. Splashing her windows. Even almost splashed her. She went very angry upstairs. But the neighbour told her that it are just kids. But he would talk with them and punish them. I must say, I found it very funny when she told me the hole story. Was like World War III just happened this afternoon. I do understand her a bit, seeing she is old and want some piece and quiet. But I also find she shouldn’t make such a big deal about it. She describes it like she wants a war with the neighbours upstairs. And probably she wants me as an ally. But I’m not coming between those two. I’m like Switzerland, neutral.

So it was a very interesting day. I found a present and for the first time mrs. Tinkerbell was trying to find a listening ear. I listened, tried not to brake in laughter. I’m curious if those two kids will do more stuff. I can not say I approve, but... I would have done the same things if I was like 10 years younger.

And tomorrow my mums birthday party. That will be interesting. Can’t wait to see her reaction on my present. Ooh, and mrs Tinkerbell found it lovely. oooh, i'm so glad she approved.

Wednesday, June 21, 2006, 3:00:19 PM- Dagger
So my yahoo messenger seems not to work today. I can’t even open my yahoo mail. Ooh, is so strange, cut off from the world and your friends. So instead of catching up with them, I thought of writing my blog. Luckily the NN site still works.

Yesterday, after my work I decided to bring a visit to an antiquary. Just trying to find that birthday present for my mum. But I didn’t bought anything for her, but I bought something for me. Yah, the thing I wanted for my mum wasn’t there.

But what did take my attention was a dagger. An Asian dagger. Why I found it so eye catching were the inscriptions. I like things with a story. And the antiquary told me it was from late 1800. He did not know much about it, only that it was probably made custom for someone. Maybe for a Maharaji. It could be a wedding present for someone, or it could have been used for battle. And the inscriptions had to bring him good luck.

I like stuff like that. Something with a story. Yesterday night and this morning I was looking at it. Wondering for who it was? Was it a present? It is so real, and no mass production. It has something SPECIAL, and I like special things. I have moments that I can really go up in stuff like that. Not only daggers, but paintings, sculptures,... Something that tells a story without words. A few years ago I bought 2 African masks. They were used in rituals for a good harvested. I like them very much, because it says something how nature could be treated. But I would never wear it. Not that I’m superstitious but you never know. I’m careful with stuff like that. And now I have a dagger, a nice one. Hopefully it brings me some luck too.

Tuesday, June 20, 2006, 10:23:21 AM- Bday
I just have one thing on my mind today: What to buy for my mum’s birthday? Yah, Thursday is the big day. And Friday the birthday party. So don’t have much time to find something nice. I know I can’t ask boyfriend, because he would probably suggest a blender! But many off my friends have suggested things, and some have good ideas. So now I’m hurrying to buy something. It’s always something I postponed because I find it hard to buy a nice present.
And it is my mum after all, so it does has to be something special.

Monday, June 19, 2006, 11:04:27 PM- Gelato
Don’t you love ice cream? I do, especially Italian Gelato. Yep Gio, my Italian vocabulary knowledge is limited to ice cream and shoes (kidding). I think the Italian ice cream is just the best you can find anywhere.

Tonight I was in the mood for some Gelato. I went to this ice cream shop after my work, and bought some. And I must say, it was just what I need tonight. And I’m not referring to the Italian guys, although they make the selling experience just a bit more. No, I mean, what’s better against sore legs. A warm bath with a bole of ice cream.

I just love doing that. Just relaxing, looking at my devil bath duck floating on the water. Oooh, that reminds me: 'Brandnew', find your running shoes mate, because if I find you in the chat... And no 'Fizzy', I’m not chasing him in a dress (you wish). I’m sure some kangaroo’s will do that for me! But I had a big smile with those comments.

Anyhow, after my bath I feel like reborn. I’m ready again to concur the world with my duck walk. Catch u around, quak quak...

Sunday, June 18, 2006, 9:17:57 AM- running legs
Sunday, the day I’m cripple. Yesterday was a hard day. Seems running a marathon isn’t something you do if you aren’t prepared for it. Not that I can say I even ran a marathon.

Just before the start, we were all doing our warm ups. And setting a positive mood, by saying: ‘see you all at the finish’. But Fizzy was right, I should have find a way to cheat, but I’m not a cheater. So 2 Pm, start shot... Of course the guys went like an arrow, so me and the girls (and one other guy) stayed behind. Doing it slow, seeing it was a long way ahead of us.

I think like the first 20 minutes we were all just talking. Happy it was a sunny day, and not raining. But after the chit chat, it became quiet. Everybody focussed on the long way, everybody probably thinking how many km we already did, and how many we had to do. I think at that point I started to realise I was in big shit. So I tried to think happy thoughts,... But that didn’t last long. Thinking what of a $*$ boyfriend is of putting me up to something like that. Not long after, the guy friend couldn’t run anymore. I was exhausted. No wonder, seeing he had worked all night. So it was a little occasion to stop a bit, and look after him. But knowing how much we wanted to make the 5 km, he said we should go again. So not with pleasure we were off again.

But this time, each step I did was getting worse. I felt my knees were starting to hurt. Even my ankles. I don’t know, was it because I didn’t do the necessary preparation, or just because I ran on a funny way, or just because I didn’t wear the proper running shoes. But I know I started to feel pain. I was sweating, breathing heavily. And my friend, who ran besides me asked if I was ok. Of course I said I was ok, and would run a bit more. I think it was a moment that I didn’t thought anymore, I was just running. No contact with the environment, just focus of moving my legs. And I must say, the fact it was sunny wasn’t a good thing. I know I can’t blame it on that, but it was becoming to much. I tried to run as far as I could, but then I couldn’t anymore. I had to much pain. My friend saw it, and she said we better should stop.

I’m not someone who likes to give up, but this time I knew she was right. If I would go further, I would probably collapse on the street. We both went to a first aid, just to get water and a leg massage. It helps a bit, but even today I don’t feel my legs anymore. They are like swollen, and it hurts when I walk, or just take the stairs. I think it is just my muscles that are stretched too much. I know I can’t say I ran a marathon, seeing I did like ?? km (probably 6 or 7), but for me it was a long run. Boyfriend made it like 22.5 km. I was proud on him, because now I know how though it is. One friend made the finish, but he was in a very bad shape afterwards. All our other friends stranded on different places.

So yesterday was really hell day. But in some ways I’m glad I tried out. I know running a marathon is nothing for me. But yah, taking part is more important then winning. And another thing, someone owns me a bottle of champagne. Yes, it is you cheeky boy.

I had 1 month preparation, but i didn't really do much with that time. And now the day has come to show it to bf and our friends. Luckely all our friends are running. But i will probably not make it, atleast not the 40 km, maybe not even 5. Ooh, i'm really in big shit now. At 2 PM the startshot...

So wish my good luck, or atleast some good running shoes.

A first victory for Australia. Although i didn't expect it seeing they only made some goals the last minutes. But i'm reliefd.
And now, i'm supporting Italy. Yes Gio, just for you. Hmmm...
Boyfriend is already totally freaky now. Screaming at the tele... YOu know how guys are! I rather stay calm and look at the guys. And some italian hotties. Number 21, Pirlo i think, is a hottie. His such macho.

It's 1-0 for Italy now. So i'm curious if Ghana will make a goal. But i'm sure Italy will win. Yaaaaaaaah, bf is jumping now. Just a new goal from Iaguanta. OOoh,

Yah, Italy will win now. Now i'm going, supporting.

Ooh, and to all the Australians, Italians, and Dutch. Tomorrow you need to support for France!

Monday, June 12, 2006, 10:08:15 AM- Goal!!
It's a new day for the football. And at 3 pm Australia/Japan. I’m supporting for... Australia. Although I’m at work, I will try to follow the match. There is a big television in the board room and many of my colleagues follow the football over there. And because there are many nationalities over here at work, it is used as a television room like all day long.

So every day i support another country. YESTERDAY the Netherlands, because some of my friends are from the Netherlands. The dutch won, so party. I find it such a nice way to be connected with so many people. So TODAY I’m supporting Australia, TOMORROW it is our turn, France. And that one will be a crazy day. A lot of guys are just talking the day off, just to prepare them for the big event. Ooh, it is so exciting the World Cup, and I don’t even follow football so close.

Sunday, June 11, 2006, 9:26:11 AM- World Cup Fun
It was so hot yesterday. And today another 30 degrees. I so have to get used to such warm days. But I like it. Note to myself: buy some bikini's, asap

Anyhow, yesterday was a pretty boring day. Boyfriend watching football most off the day. And I... just bugging him. It’s such a waste to stay inside when there is so much sun. But with the World Cup it is hard to get anything done from boyfriend. Sitting in the couch is not really my kind of thing.

So bored like hell I decided to take my own action. And seeing I’m concerned about his health, I had to involved boyfriend in my plans.

I told boyfriend that I would go for a walk in the park (we live near a park). But just like I expected, I didn’t get much reaction. So I went to the bedroom just to find something suitable for this kind of temperature. After a few minutes I returned to boyfriend. To say goodbye and to show him my outfit... his football uniform. Yes, boyfriend is a footballer (only on Sundays). So wearing his short and his football shirt. And to finish it some high heels.

And his reaction on this? Well, to bad I couldn’t take a picture of it. But at least I got his attention. I walked to him, to say goodbye and said to him: ‘I’m going to play some ball!’. He started to laugh so hard that Mrs. Tinkerbell probably heard him. His comment was: ‘You going like that missy!!’. I smiled and said, ‘You gonna force me!’

So my mission was a success. I had concurred boyfriend attention and we had some laughs. And if I went outside like that... OOoh, that’s my little secret. But I’m PRINCESS CLOWN.
