Irene has come and gone....and she fucked us good. Here's a couple of shots of the damage at my house....there's lots of places locally that look much worse.

Well, I'm down to one puppy for adoption. I walked the girls around 8:30 and got home to a phone full of texts and voicemail. lady had seen the ad and wanted to get two pups for a friend who's boxer had passed away recently. They drove an hour to come look at pups on a Saturday night! Anyway, they fell in love with the twins (Sophie and Jasmine), and now all but one pup has been adopted. As soon as Tasha has a home, I can start house training PJ, Sasha and Luna...funny thing is, PJ started house training himself. I've had him running the house at night since his visit to the vet and every time he has to go, he actually runs to the bathroom...lol. Maybe when he's big enough I can teach him to aim for the toilet instead of using a training pad

Well, Schroder ended up finding a home after all. A young lady called me earlier asking about the pups, and after I explained the previous adoption attempt from Thursday, I had her call my girlfriend. Girlfriend called me back and suggested I meet the couple to see if I thought they'd be ok. Pfft....it was love at first sight. The young lady cooed and petted Schroder and he snuggled up to her like she was one of the family. By the time she and her husband had decided yes, Schrod was in her arms and sleeping on her shoulder. Looks like he adopted a family instead of them adopting a pup.

I proved yesterday that I'm overprotective of my little furry children. Girlfriend sent me a text saying that we had a prospective home for Schroder, the last male pup. Said a young lady wanted him as a surprise gift for husband/ playmate for kid and playmate for their other dog. We arrive at the address she gave (nice little subdivision, lots of new houses) and the first thing that greets us is a 2 year old opening the front door and running out into the yard. That was my first impression that things weren't gonna go well....who the FUCK lets their toddler answer the fucking door? We walk in to a yapping shi'tzu/bison mix barking her head off...poor little thing was freaked out by people. We sat down to talk to the woman, and after 5 minutes, she put the yap dog out in the back yard. The 2 year old immediately went and let it back in....strike 2; this kid has waaaay too much free run of the house. The demon child managed to swat the poor dog 4 times while I watched...and even made time to snatch moms iPhone off the charger and throw it at her. The entire time, Schroder stayed with me, trying to hide in my lap. After 5 more minutes, I stood up and explained (very politely for me, I might add) that things seemed a bit hectic and maybe she wasn't ready for another pet. I apologized for wasting her time and explained that Schroder would be going home with us. I just couldn't bear to imagine my poor pup being terrorized by a yap dog and a demon toddler. He's off the adoption list now...only 3 girls left. Girlfriend texted me today saying some guy offered to buy PJ or Sasha...I informed her he didn't have enough money. The first 2 couples are staying in touch and it seems that Nikki (now named Gixter) and Ivan (now named Shadow) have good homes. Makes me wonder....maybe I should have been a social worker....

PJ went to the vet yesterday because of the raw spot he's scratched on his leg and shoulder. All's good....vet gave him pills and he's not itching. Shocker was....at 10 weeks, the little fart weighs 20 lbs, 4 oz...9.2 kg...1.4 stone. Vet said he's perfectly healthy....and obviously doesn't miss any meals...lol.

Just had another pup go to a new home! Ivan the Terrible has a new family. Four left to find homes for...but so far nobody wants to adopt the girls.

One of the pups got adopted! Nicholas (aka Nikki) now lives with a young married couple and their 2 year old son. Just waiting to see which one trashes their house first....Nikki or the 2 year old. lol
