Friday, January 28, 2011, 9:31:45 AM- Twilight Zone
I loved the Twilight Zone and Night Gallery series on TV in the 70's. Keeping in mind that it was alway unreality (to mirror the ads for 7 Up in that same time period, the Un Cola), the great thing about it was the story was always so believable with that one twist that breathed life into the world of the bizarre yet plausible. The was a great episode that explained that time for us was really like an infinite series of movie sets strung together seamlessly and sequentially. When you lost your car keys, for example, it was the set master who forgot to put them into the next sequential set, when you went back and looked again they had reappeared where you thought they were and had already looked, because the set master had discovered the mistake and corrected it the next time you passed through that set.

My life is doing that quite a bit right now. Things that I know existed, were real, are gone with no explanation, without even the slightest ripple in the fabric of time and space, and then in the next scene they reappear just as seamlessly as they disappeared. Or they reappear, altered, and I am the only one who seems to be able to see the difference. I really am living life in the Twilight Zone, and tomorrow this will all be rearranged...

Or so they are saying. If it keeps snowing in the south I am going to open a ski resort! Now there is an idea for a money maker! I hope everyone is having a fabulous Tuesday, tomorrow is hump day, and it is half way through the week wink

Sunday, January 23, 2011, 4:08:07 PM- 6 Months
I don't know if celebrating is the right word or just making note of the passage of time, but it has been six months now since I moved out of the house. I am fortunate that I own a nice RV as it gave me a place to go without having to rent a place, and through the end of summer and through the fall it was perfect, I enjoyed living there and have had lots of fun with the other people who have RV's in the lot. It is a very social bunch down here, and that has been good for me. This winter with snow and single digit cold weather in the deep south has made life a bit more interesting. The heating units I have were never meant to keep up against that kind of weather, so on the average night it is in the mid 50's in the living area and the low 60's in the bedroom. That's OK, but the hot water heater and the bedroom heat can't run at the same time or the breaker kicks, so the morning drill is get up 45 minutes before I want to shower, turn the heat off and the hot water heater on, go jump back in bed and curl up under the covers while the water heats up. By the time the water is warm, it is usually about 50 degrees and dropping so the hot water does feel great!

I am not complaining, I am grateful that I have a place to live, have food to eat and a job to go to. Just a day in the life Mr. Solzhenitsyn... I will say that this will be the most glorious Spring I have ever seen when it arrives in a few months!!

Monday, January 17, 2011, 5:16:53 PM- Cloudy Day, Sunny Outlook
So far 2011 has tried to throw a bunch of stuff out there, snow, brutal cold, discord. The year started on a more upbeat note, a sense of optimism, and you know what? It still is! I have the feeling that things are on the upswing and that this year will be better than the last few. Still have some of those cobwebs in my head, but after hibernating for a couple of years it will take some time to make a full comeback but it is on the way!!

Listening to tines and going so many places in my mind. Some bring smiles, some bring tears, some hope and some despair. Perhaps it's time to string my bow and seace my senseless running...

Sunday, January 16, 2011, 3:47:55 PM- It's odd
Just drinking coffee on a cold Sunday morning and thinking about things, reflecting on how odd we all are about some things. The old saying that what's one man's trash is another man's treasure is so true. And it goes for relationships as well. There is an amazing someone out there somewhere who would be a great match for someone else, but not with the one they are with. And so it goes...

I wonder how many people ever get lucky enough tonfind the match best suited to them, and more importantly, would they know it when it happened?
