Wednesday, November 24, 2010, 2:54:23 PM- Day off!
Is there anything better than a day off from work while others are hard at it? Kiddo 1 has no school today, so staying home with him. Lots to do at home, so maybe I'll get something productive accomplished!

Saturday, November 20, 2010, 8:28:04 PM- To-do list
Well, I'm checking items off the to-do list at a good clip! Cars fixed - Check Kids down for nap - Check Sitter arranged for tonight - Check Laundry - Check House picked up - Well, not so much Romantical evening planned with wifey - yeah, we're having trouble with this one. On the one hand, dinner and a movie sounds FANTASTIC! On the other, so does 4 uninterrupted hours of quiet time... We'll figure out something. It's just telling about how worn down we are with all the random crap life has given us lately. I just think it's funny, actually, the excuses we can come up with to say "I'd just rather spend quiet time with you" instead of actually saying it to each other.

Friday, November 19, 2010, 5:44:44 AM- CRAZY busy
We've got an industry trade show coming up for work. It starts next weekend, and we'll be debuting some new things. So yeah, kind of a big deal and all. But seriously, WTF, who schedules a trade show to start the weekend of Thanksgiving. Thank you, genius, for the wonderful blessing you share with my family. FML.

Thursday, November 18, 2010, 5:49:59 AM- Not bigamy, really
So wifey and I have occassionally joked in the past about the concept of me having two wives: one wife who gets the fun jobs, and one who maintains the house and dishes, etc. Wifey would remain wife 1, who gets the bulk of the privileges (romance, sex, my time, etc), and wife 2 would get the privilege of not working necessarily, having a family, and whatnot, but have the chores to go along with it. Wifey has recently discussed it in more detail, but it remains so remote a possibility, I am not sure there are enough decimal places to describe the uncertainty. So I'm not thinking it's possible, or even that I'd necessarily want a second wife... But practically speaking, would such a second wife ever be possible? Would any woman forego some of the trappings of normal marriage for the security (real or perceived) of such an unorthodox arrangement? And could wife 1 and wife 2 coexist, without jealousy and resentment of however the roles would shake out? Really, this is an academic exercise overall. I mean, what man would even entertain the torture of having 2 wives? Isn't just 1 bad enough sometimes? And how would THAT pickup line go over: Hey, baby, wanna come back to our place?
