I miss my NN friends

I will be saying my goodbyes on August 1, 2008. The first round is on me. Look forward to seeing you then. I will be returning occasionally, but only in passing.

Someone told me something last night in NN chat. Someone who I've got to know a bit, and like. Someone I thought I had time for. But silly bollocks here was too busy talking to others to afford said person the time they deserved, and maybe needed. And by the time the penny had dropped, it was too late. They had gone. It has been bugging me today quite a bit. Some 'friend' I turned out to be.

If we didn't make changes in our life, we wouldn't evolve. A life without change would be a life of missed opportunities and experiences. If we were all to just stay as we are, then what would be the point of our existence?

Excitement, boredom, fear, sadness and ambition (to name a few) inspire change, however big or small, in all of us. I'm scared of change, though fear is an enemy who I must topple.

Because I'm changing. I'm making changes. For the better. But with change comes sacrifice. Sadly, I will have to let go of NN. I will do so with a heavy heart. Other things too will be no more. That's change for you.

Is this goodbye? No, not yet. But soon.

OMG I have eaten SO MUCH lol..... burp.

I've had a seriously chilled time these past 10 days. Loadsa family and friends around me, and Santa even came and said 'hi' lol.

But it's back to reality now. Work's about 13 hours away, and I ain't looking forward to going back. I so am not!

But on a brighter note.....

Tick tock, tick tock.....

Just one more day to go and then no work (kinda, feckin mobile grrrr) until 2008 yay! Man, do I need this break. It's official, work is bad for your health; well it is for me. Headaches, and more headaches. Less said about me blood pressure the better lol.

Anyway.....

Christmas is gonna be nutty in the world of Wish. Planning on seeing loads of family and friends, while also making time for some good ole food, a wee drinkie or five and some much-earned chill-out time. AND if I'm really lucky, I may even jump on the Eurostar for a short city break. oooooh.

But there's always a downside.....

With all of the above, something's gotta give. And that be ma internet access (boo hoo), as I won't be home much, if at all. I've only been knocking around NN for a couple of months now, but I've kinda got a 'taste' for this place lol, so I'm sure I'll miss y'all, and the giggles. I've enjoyed chatting to numerous peeps, and getting to know a handful of folk a lil bit more (you know who you are), so thank you for taking the time; means a lot.

So, before I start welling up lol.....

Some of you will have seen me around recently. Some of you won’t lol. I only moved in a couple of months ago, after stumbling across this place by chance. Lost and cold, with just an over-night bag in hand, I knocked on the door, and was greeted by MD Guy, who showed me to the room. I headed straight to the bar, got myself a drink, lit a smoke, pulled up a chair and observed my surroundings.

Over the course of the evening, many people took the time to say hi, and some even stopped to chat some more. The friendliness of people, along with the banter, giggles and mighty fine lasses in attendance lol, convinced me to stick around a while longer. Not sure for how much longer, but this place is kinda addictive so who knows.....

Why am I here? Well, not sure really, but for now, I’ll settle for having a laugh. And I look forward to getting to know some of you better, a lot better!
