iPhone video posting

Hope someone can help. I tried to post a video using an iPhone. I created the video using portrait but it posted as landscape and as a result, was sideways. Also a video that was only about 90 seconds would not post. I assumed it was too big. Any tips for posting video with iPhone? Landscape vs portrait?
