And honestly, I don't know what says "we want justice" clearer than burning police cars. Regardless though, this situation is a shame. From the dead people to the burning buildings etc

What's really sad is that I think it reached the point where riots would happen no matter what. At least we don't have to deal with the sense of impending doom anymore.

Just imagine though....had the cop and the dead kid been different races, the story would have never received the attention it has. Doesn't help having Al and Jesse fanning the flames.

Originally, jmr, that was correct. The main rioters and looters were from out of town, largely East St. Louis which is in Illinois. Tonight, however, it seems most of the action is by angry locals.
