Capacitor was probably over heated from compressor pulling high amps running low on refrigerant, not enough vapor flowing back to cool windings........

I learned all that in books, but never got to really put it to use, and like many things when I haven't used superheat or sling psychrometers, I have forgotten too much of it!

Then day after the fridge is acting about the same, but think thats a defrost issue controlled by the main board....when it pours it rains; or somethin iike that.

None of mine came from books, I've ran refrigeration since I was 17. If it cooled beer, produced ice, chilled water or air, I've worked on it. And have a few lincense to go with it.....
