tip
My Daughter is taking me to Peterborough Ontario for Mother's Day Weekend cumming back Monday Afternoon.
Nice, enjoy. I wish mom was still here. We'd likely end up in Bruges or Ostend.

Love Peterborough. Enjoy!

I have to get back to Bruges one day NK. One of my favorite outdoor markets I’ve ever been to.

Bruges will never be the same for me. It's still a beautiful place to see. As to markets, I've been more wowed by ones in Siem Reap, Grand Bazar Istanbul, Christmas Market Strasbourg & a tiny...

... tiny evening market at a border crossing village between Vietnam & Laos.

I also love the Grand Bazar in Istanbul. Not been to the others but am also very partial to the Market in Hilo, Hawaii and the Sunday Flower Market in Ghent.

Maybe not quite grand but Florence Italy has a bridge that has gold shops along it. It was quite a nice surprise.

And The Quadralatero in Bologna! A must visit in my opinion.

Phineas, I assume you are talking about the Ponte Vecchio. That is a beautiful part of that amazing city.

Is that what it's called? It's been a long time. I was just shocked it was even there.

Never been to the US/Hawaii but Ghent, oh! My! What a beautiful City. Younger my sis & I would escape there for mischievous times

A bit odd to use that spelling of coming when you're talking about a weekend with your daughter.

Check out the Lock if you have never been. It is really cool.

I love Ghent, there is a shop there that sells the best mustard I’ve ever tasted.

Would that be in the covered market? Have been to the tiniest bar that used to be a gallow house?

Now I want to know which mustard? 😋 I love old Dijon. Buy it, open it & leave it till it becomes smoother, a kinda tangy sweet. Boy! I'd have that on bread or bread & apple. I know odd! 🙃

English mustard can sorta get there but it usually is 'hotter' than Dijon & needs more time. Whole grain mustards are from the start mildish. It doesn't work well with these.

Nobozos - Couldn't it just be a spelling error? The no. of native English speakers that can't make a difference between your & you're; to & too; there & their... is rather astonishing.

NK, it is called Tierenteyn-Verlent. Made in the same place by the same family since 1867 in wooden barrels in the basement that they hand scoop into jars.
