Friday, October 2, 2009, 12:37:47 AM- I'm glad certain people choose the city life, keep yourself in your concrete jungle.
Woman I know, who actually introduced me to my husband... I just found out she offed her pot bellied pig because she got to be 'too much' work for her bratty kids.

This pig was a huge pet to them, she was kept in the house (which I don't really agree with, but whatevah) handled lots and very friendly and loyal to them so she says.

So her gramma dies, and she was too stressed out to deal with having a pig so she takes her away from kidsight and shoots her. I'm not even kidding.

There are many pig rescue's out there who would have GLADLY rehomed a young, healthy, well socialized lil sow. Hell I would have driven to Sask to pick her up!!!

I'm utterly disgusted that people dispose of their animals so easily and to be so flat out blunt about it. This frame of mind I have zero understanding for and quickly see myself hitting the good ol DELETE button on my facebook account.

She KNOWS I have a pig and live on a farm, why the hell wouldn't she have said something about thoughts of putting a bullet in the head of an animal (perfectly healthy) they treated as a member of their own family, or so it seemed at the time.

I'm going to go in the barn and spoil the crap outta Courtney tonight while I feed skinny ponies. omg I could NEVER Imagine disposing of her in such a cold and disrespectful way.

After chewing her a new asshole in facebook, I deleted her from my friends list... Just before deleting her most recent update was "I sure missed the city life, glad to be back!"-- Yah, maybe you should have stayed there in the first place.

Friday, September 18, 2009, 12:59:36 AM- Halloween 2009
Last year was kind of a bust, the party ended up being kinda cruddy and I hated our costumes. I'm not much for cutesy costumes but I thought it'd try that once, I'm done...

So this year I'm going back to my homemade deal, I was a mermaid once years ago when I was living in B.C. So I'm gonna re-do that idea this year, but a bit darker rendition. Dead mermaid, with fishing net wrapped around my neck and body... Careless fishermen! lol Black hair in half assed dreadlocks with seashells braided in, seashell boobies (applique style, sewn/glued onto those sticker bra things). I want to buy those fish style contact lenses but I have to have my eyes measured for that and that's an eye exam fee... Kinda meh.

I have no idea what party we are going to, I'm sure we'll find one if we put our heads together.. lol.

Any suggestions for Mr. Puss's costume? Something rather easy to put together but witty. I'm thinking drunken sailor. Sailor costumes look so Village People to me though lol. Other ideas are fisherman or pirate, some kinda seaman... hee hee.... get it? Pun intended har har.

Monday, September 14, 2009, 5:21:44 AM- Horsie goin on's and updates lol
Last weekend it was Bella and my first show, so it was quite a busy weekend full of grooming and crap, then the day of the show it was quite chaotic. After the official equitation classes were over my sister and I entered in a pairs class, just for fun. That was hilarious and we basically laughed the whole time. Then once the horses were all settled down at the trailer with their snacks we all grabbed our chairs and beers to watch the kids do their gymkhana games, it was a fantastic day and we all had such a great time. I won two ribbons with Bella and got countless compliments about her... She sure came a LONG way with us smile

THIS weekend that just passed we took the mares camping, I wanted to take my lil gelding camping this year but he came up lame last month and isn't any better so I took my pretty lil appy girl... We tried a new spot that's just an hour away and the trails there are to DIE for! SO much fun crossing tons of little wood bridges, sloshing through mud slews, running through the river, winding down steep hills... I love that shit, that's when a horses heart really shines, that's the stuff they were built to do and that's what they love. They can also carry beers around in their saddle bags pretty good! hhaahaha. We stopped at a farm on the way home cause I wanted to take a look at an appy stud there for my mare, for the 2010 breeding season. He's facking GEORGOUS, muscles and spots on hooves is what he is! I sure hope she catches with him because that offspring will be something amazing, and I sure love starting them out from scratch myself.

I'm glad to be home now after the weekend of tenting it with the horses, Dancer camped out tied to the trailer last night... She's such a good girl, didn't barely make a peep all night there. We sure ask a lot of these animals, haul them here, tie them there, make them move like this and not like that, stand still, hurry up, calm down, wake up etc... Not an iota of it goes unappreciated with me.

Horses were always a dream to me, and they always will be. In the centre of it all, within the burden of responsiblity, the workload, the heartache, the stress... The magic remains, always as it was. Always it will be.

Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 1:37:28 PM- OOohhh, nice dream!!! Bow chica wow wowwww
I had a pretty nice dream about Trent Reznor last night, but he looked more like Luke Wilson. He lived in this really cool apartment and had a freaky and cute girlfriend who liked girls. He also had a huge thing for me and I for him, I got to playing with him and stopped it there because Mr. Puss wasn't there. So the both of us arranged for Mr. Puss and his girlfriend to come over to his place one night.

His girlfriend got to dancing for me, kinda standing on top of me straddling me, she was wearing a really cool black suede strappy deal with lots of buckles and stuff. She put a strappy thing on me and told me I could keep it. Then the men got hot and bothered cause us chicks looked nice in our get ups. Trent didn't have a super long dink but it was thick and nicely shaped (erm, as nice as a dink can be lol). He had a nicely toned lean body with really nice pecs/shoulders. *drool*

Then I woke up! Fuckin hell I fuckin woke up dammit. I could just RAGE at that alarm clock sometimes.

I told Mr. Puss about my dream and he sprung a boner hee hee.

Dood in my dream was a mixture of these two... I'D DO EM! lmfao

Can't say I wouldn't wanna be the meat between a Mr. Puss and Luke sammich!!!!!! A girl can dream right?

Friday, August 21, 2009, 9:59:52 PM- Happy Anniversary Ride pics...
Sorry the pics are kinda boring, it's hard to take pics when there are only two of you. Too busy riding and having fun to be looking through a viewfinder the whole time... lol

We had to put a horse down saturday morning... A two yr old standardbred gelding thought it was a good idea to jump OVER the whole roundbale feeder and his back leg got weaved through the other side. He fought with the thing during the night and got it drug to the other side of his paddock even. I knew he was there for hours judging by the hole he pounded and the pile of poop behind him. We had to wait a few hours while the poor boy was in pain, good thing the vet gave him some sedative cause I think his shock was wearing off and the pain was setting in... A twoonie sized amout of bone was clearly showing and most of his leg was skinned. Once we finally got a hold of the owners and got permission to euthanize, we weren't sure if we were much in the mood to go on our date anymore. But we thought we may as well go out for a few hours at least, nothing more we can do sitting at home pouting with a dead horse who had to wait until Tuesday for the rendering truck.

I'm glad we went, even though I really was not in the spirits to have fun. Once we got out there alone with our girls our spirits lightened up. Typical of us, can't have ANY kind of crazy fun without some kind of immense sadness. Two days after our wedding last year we lost our dogs to a storm, so we went on our honeymoon the day we found one of them dead on the highway. Kind of strange for this to have happened on our first year anniversary, I hope it's not some kind of sicko curse.

ANYWAYS, here's pics lol:

Thankful for good friends with nice stuff that they don't mind borrowing us lol. Otherwise our set-up would have been a 2000 F150 and a 20' steel stock trailer lol. We took this dodge for two weeks last year on our honeymoon, talk about having friends that trust us!

I know other's must have thought this was cute too, I seen a few people in cars laughing. Dancer's cute lil pink nose, checkin it out.

Bella, peeking and hoping I'm going to open the trailer and let her back out now. "K mom, this is a joke right??... Mom??.... Where you going??"

Bella, she can carry lots of stuff on her badonka self. Lookit those bums, only a true horse person can appreciate a nice horse bum! ... please omit sicko jokes, thanks.

Bella's not sure about Mr. Puss's fandangling with pack stuff. This is the magnitude of her spooks, the ear cracks me up

Mr. Puss looks like he's in deep concentration, but he always has that facial expression. We packed all this stuff out with us, and ended up picnicing back at the truck when we came back lol. Oh well, it was fun anyways

Dancer, I swear horses know you are taking a pic. As soon as you pic the camera up the ears go back. Bad Donkey Ears Dancer Doo. My bottle of wine almost didn't fit in my saddle bag... phew!

Just cause I thought this pic turned out nice. I had to take the flashpiece of her noseband off halfway through the ride cause Mr. Puss refused to stop letting her eat the grass.

Mr. Puss having a lil roadpop rest with his girl.

Dancer is contemplating the hoards of grasshoppers that are all out there, waiting... lurking....watching.....

Trying to get them to both look up at the same time and not have their ears pinned

Well two outta three aint bad, my ears aren't pinned

Mr. Puss trying to take pics on a horse who requires full usage of both hands, especially when she's not lead horse. I don't blame him that I'm a bit fuzzy

Photobucket deleted less 'daring' pics, so we'll see how long this one lasts ha ha.
It's impossible to moon someone when your legs are wrapped around a horse.

This is the way we should have taken, instead we screwed up and had to backtrack to here, so we couldn't stop at the picnic area cause it was too long by now.

I fed and watered the girls, now it's time to feed and 'water' ourselves, tailgate parrrrtay! MOZZOLTOFF!

After sleeping over at a friends who lives right in town, Northside of deadmonton. We thought it was hilarous, the looks the horse trailer got from all the city buffs. The girls were quite happy in the backyard overnight, they thought that grass was pretty tasty. And even hung out with us by the fire for a lil bit.

I'm a dummy and didn't take the camera out of the truck, so no backyard pony pics sad

Monday, August 17, 2009, 3:43:55 PM- Holy shit, head spinning or what?
Friday: We're at work and Mr. Puss is talking on the phone to his boss, just called for an ETA on more material when he's asked if he would like to be transferred to Victoria, B.C. for a 2 1/2 year contract. HOLY FUCK YEAH... Well we'll see how much they want him to man the job when we throw out there that they'll have to put us on an acreage as we don't leave without all the critters and ponies. But yeah, if anyone knows me well they know how much I hate this god for saken province... I think I've called it a 'white hell' more than once. Plus I miss my mom like hell and my other sister, who both live in B.C.

Then later on that night Mr. Puss and I are getting the horses in and out of the trailer for practice (Bella doesn't load well) and Mr. Puss walks into the shop to grab a beer, hears on the radio "..... call now", so he called. Fuckin won us tickets to some 3 day 4 night budweiser carribean cruise. Seriously!

Saturday: Mr. Puss is running around doing his morning chores with the hay trailer, when he passes the paddocks with the race horses... The one gelding is just standing by the fence and not doing anything, when he sees red at the corner of his eye and notices the round bale feeder up against the fence as well. Stupid horse tried to jump the whole thing during the night and got his back leg weaved through the bars. He thrashed and fought that thing for hours, not only did he drag it all the way across his paddock, but he dug himself one deep hole in his struggles. Vet took one look at it and wasn't candy coating the situation, severed tendons and immense nerve damage as well as such loss of blood to his lower extremeties that leg would most likely not ever function properly even after the 15,000.00 surgery. I can tell you this much, we are DONE with this boarding stable shit. Responsibility of our own horses is well enough for me!

So before we went on our date, we had to euthanize a horse in one of the sheds. I was definatelly making myself scarce for that one, but I hear it was an amazingly quick and quiet death. I'm glad he was FINALLY put out of his pain (had to wait hours for an OK from the owners family, owner was mia).

Lets hope the bad shit is over for a while, so I can enjoy the good stuff without it always being foreshadowed.

Saturday, August 15, 2009, 8:48:12 AM- First year anniversary!
HOLY SHIT we lasted a year! And it felt like an eternity!!!... har har har all kidding aside it's a great reason to celebrate.

I moved here, a bat outta hell, just looking for a life and a place to belong. I found the most amazing man I could even dream of, I proudly boast the sweetest animals to spend my time with, horses that would have been such a far fetched dream for me then. I feel like things are heading in the right direction, and when I don't feel that way I know it'll get better because two forces are better than one. When you are on the right page, and Mr. Puss are and we will be for years to come.

Our date tommorow consists of two horses and some painstakingly stuffed saddle bags (how many bottles of white wine can one fit in hornbags???) a FANTASTICALLY georgous loaded to the fuckin tits dodge hemi dually chromy sparkly damn truck... seriously, a redneck limo lol... and a really nice two horse angle haul trailer a friend is lending us. Goin to our favorite trail riding park for a blanket picnic with wine and snacks, and NOT forgetting the lube! harh arhahrhar.

We've been training Bella for this, she's NOT a fan of trailering, especially in such a small trailer as opposed to our big ol stock trailer. But the inlaws have the stock for cattle sales, so we thought we'd just borrow a trailer and teach Bella to love it lol. You guys dont know this horse, she's a big ol draft mix... not tall but very thick and has no problem giving you the illusion of growing two hands when she's scared hahaha. She was used in some rodeo circuit, but discarded to the auction cause she wouldn't buck. We put SHITLOADS of time and heart into her, hired someone to help us start her out (as an 11 yr old lol)... But it's these little things like trailering, and like catching her in a pasture turnout that have left us stumped at times. Wellll, she's now turned out with out a halter on. I don't bribe with food to catch her even. AND we can load her in itty bitty scary trailers, effortlessly.

If this seems like a HUGE gloat fest, it just might be!! Fuckin BITE ME....

WE earned it wink)))))

Pics to come!

Monday, August 10, 2009, 5:21:20 AM- Mr. Puss worked his cute little buns off
Laid the floor in our lil tin can dwelling. Didn't have enough of one colour for the whole area so he did a stripe pattern of oak mocha and high gloss oak gunstock. Looks freakin georgous, kind of a high end job for this place but it sure spruced it up in here. After we paint I'm gonna take pics smile

Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 9:00:38 PM- I wear my dad's necklace, my mom gave it to me last May...
It's one of those big flat box chain deals, and it twirls by itself sometimes. My sensetive neck skin gets goosebumps and it gives me the shivers. Freaks me out sometimes cause my arachnophobia makes me flinch, but I've stopped doing the spider dance! I've weaned out of that.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 3:12:26 AM- Uggrhh, bittersweet to be home.
Camping was alright, as exciting as camping can be when you don't do anything but drink. I brought my running stuff except my shoes, and my soft wussy feet would't fare well going it on the gravel in my thongs. I can't beleive how many kids are in Mr. Puss's family, it's like a plague or something lol. I forget how crappy I do in crowds sometimes until an event like that, prolly 180 people. His family is frickin huage.

We get a call from the farm from my sister, three horses are showing signs of strangles... Strepptococus Equi (sp?). Gee that's just fantastic, another thing to pile onto our boarding stable stress, on top of hay costs and fuckwad's screwing us over and taking clients. Strangles isn't such a big deal if it's monitored and horses are treated if symptoms get out of hand, but if you got horses training for something in particular it's a pretty big fuckup. We only have one client here who uses his horses seriously, he's got one that's supposed to go to the track soon and he's pretty optimistic about her abilities. She's not pastured with the infectious ones, but this virus is a bitch... It can be transfered indirectly pretty easily. It can be on your clothes from other farms you've been to, transfered by flies, contaminated equipment etc... So considering the horse world is FULL of hype driven drama queens this is gonna be a lovely task for us to get over.

I rode my appy today (after moving all my stuff into the shop, main barn is closed) and noticed ever so slight clouding in her left eye... Appies are common for having eye issues, I've known two in the past with moon blindness. She's always unsure about what I'm doing on her left side and this might be why. I'm gonna keep a close eye on it (pun intended) and if I see the cloudyness increase at all I know it's not gonna be good. Not only that but she's got soundess issues I wasn't told about when I bought her, not that it'd have changed my decision but I definately would have asked for money for trading my georgous and fully sound arab. I just hate taking it up the ass when I'm not drunk.

I just hate getting fucked over, it seems I have DOORMAT written on my forehead with a huge flashing beakon above me. I'm feeling more and more recluse the more experiences I have with assholes.

My dog's are nicer people than most.

"nope, owners always cover meds and maintanence meds such as wormers/mandatory vaccines. No horse pills, just horse shots twice a day for one bad case (bastard strangles)... Her's didn't erupt in her lymph nodes, its in her legs and we don't want it to travel elsewhere in her body. I have no idea how a respiratory infection can go down into the legs, but hey I'm not a vet lol. You don't medicate this until there is some kind of complication affecting the horse, usually it just leaks out under their chin/throatlatch and they get better."
