Wednesday, December 10, 2008, 7:19:28 AM- Sister's asshole horse
SO I finally get my sister to come out and ride with me. I rode Dancer since yesterday I rode fat Bella. We were going to ride out on the track but the weather was nasty today, so we were stuck in our tiny indoor arena. Dancer (my appy mare) and Mick (her paint, ex stud) were very well behaved as always. The first time we rode them together, they sniffed eachother in the barn aisleway a few times and were fine. We stood them close together in the arena a few times, they sniffed eachother a few times and were totally good.

The end of the ride she took Mick out to untack, I took off Dancer's gear in the arena to let her roll with her fresh sweat (horsies love that shit). She wasn't rolling so sis let in Mick to roll with Dancer. They rolled at the same time, seemed totally content. Then stand up at the same time, sniff noses for a second and BLAMMO... Mick tosses up a front hoof and squeals (old stallion habits die hard) Dancer over reacts and spins to give him a double barrel, I at the time knew this was no spat... Ran to get a rope, and within the 1.5 light seconds I was gone they sucessfully landed a few pops each and neither was backing down.

I ran in there like my hair was on fire, yelled at the both of them and cornered Mick (the agressor) until my sister had time to come in there and get him. Dancer standing there looking like "holy crap, get me outta here". My friend who seen everything while I was running for a rope said he landed a good blow right on her snatch. I looked at it after she's calm down and tied up in the aisle, it's mostly on her bum cheek, only a tiny scrape on her vulva. The area scraped is about the size of the palm of my hand, and started to bleed pretty good. I wasn't going to touch it, since I don't know her that well and because of the weather infection is pretty unlikely. After it bled for a while I thought I'd try to clean it with antiseptic and if she's okay with that I'll treat it with wound ointment (looks like wax, acts as a second skin). I found another wound as well, superficial as well. I was just a lil shaken up, and not sure how she'd react with me fussing with it, so I was careful and had my sis hold her tail to one side (apparently they can't kick as easily with their tail being held).

She was good tho, I think she knew I saved her ass. It was the first real horse fight I've seen in 16 years of handling horses. One always backs down and it's over as fast as it begun, this one had a really bad air about it. I'm glad we were there to stop it. My sisters horse is a fucking asshole, he's the one who kicked my head April 07.

I guess it wasn't smart of us to try them together, he's a gelding and has been since last fall, but he still has the temperment... you can take the balls off the horse but you can't take the horse out of the balls lol. My poor girl, she was so scared sad I'm just glad he didn't have shoes on.

"Me too Mont, threw us both off bigtime. Talk about keeping you on your toes LOL.

Dogfights always scare me, but man... when a horse goes tossing it's legs aound like that... You KNOW shit is going to go bad, real fast like.

A funny lil side story, my sister was in the barn talking on the phone to a woman from the SPCA responding to her complaint about her neighbor. SHe kinda paused when she heard the horses screaming in the backround LOL!"

Monday, December 1, 2008, 3:22:21 PM- Ho fucking Ho
Not feelin it this year, again. Moreso this year than any other past year I bitched about Christmas. I think it's an outdated holiday, as many don't celebrate it for what it was supposed to be anyways. Sure it's good 'family time', but you can have family time all year round, without all the stress and commercialized b.s. involved.

I think the last chirstmas I liked was back in 2002. I think I was the last year I was living at home, the whole family spent christmas morning at my mom's place. My gramma was also out for it that year. My dad wasn't too sick then, and he was genuninely happy that holiday. I don't even remember what I got that year, nor does it matter.

Christmases from then on were horrible, my dad took a turn for the worse and moved out of province. Thinking he was escaping his problems but he was really making them much worse. He continued to self destruct here in Alberta since he moved. Finally losing himself, and everything in April... I bitched about the holidays because of his condition, angry at him for always ruining everything. Now I bitch about Chrstimas because he's never going to be able to 'ruin' it anymore. We all need eachother extra this season and no one has even attempted at getting together. It's only an hour plane ride for cryin out loud. My mom doesn't want to go through all that hassle of travelling during the holidays. But still insists we must buy presents for eachother. I said maybe we should all fuck presents this year, and either meet in B.C. or they can come here. My mom thinks it's not Christmas without presents... Well it's not christmas without family, presents are just the commercialism bullshit.

I was going to have a barn party for the boarders this year, but I honestly can't get into it. The more I try, the harder it is and the more it's a constant reminder of how lonely it is not having family for the holidays. Christmas is the most depressing time of year for many.

I say fuck christmas.

"my mom and sister are in B.C. I don't keep in touch with extended family either. I'd go to B.C. but we can't afford it, can't leave my other sister here alone either... I know she wouldn't be able to come.

I'm not realy a 'doing good for people' kinda person, in case you didn't notice."

Thursday, November 27, 2008, 1:46:21 AM- Pic updates, some from summer.... awww.
The last outing we had with the horses, sad Early september we went to a lil place called Elk Island Park (damn huge park, you could camp the weekend and never see it all on horseback)

all tacked up with a place to go lol

I have no clue what Mr. Puss is doing lol (far left)... Myself and Blue are on the far right. This was my last trip with Dum Dum... I sold his ass lol.

Myself and my Rockydog sad ... There is a long story about what happened to both my dogs Rocky and Bruno. Bruno is one of the dogs gone to heavan, and Rocky is still m.i.a. I miss them both everyday, especially Rocky. He was truly my canine soulmate. I still hope I'll find him.
He was shaved here, normally sports a really nice thick golden coat. We were at a family reunion.

So, we couldn't have our Dieseldog being lonely. We found her in kijiji. We speculate she's great dane, german shepard. She's the boss mare around here LOL. Lucy

This is Dancer, I traded Blue for her. I guess you can say my dumb arab grew some brains and spots lol. His new owner loves him to death, so it worked out well

My little Dieselhorse sure loves her, once she explained to him that she isn't a gelding and he can't use her as a chew toy.

Member this little guy? Our Spidey has grown lots since... We sold him to good friends for 1250.00 (they thought it was a steal, we thought we kinda screwed them lol)
Back in the day, his first day of life with momma, Bella.

He's gonna be a big boy! He's just over a year in this pic. According to our measuring device, he'll mature to about 16.3 hands high. It was hard to see him go, but it was for the best.

I had more to say, but dammit dinner is almost ready... better enter this before my computer freezes and I have to start all over again lol.

Mr. PUss and I thank you all for the nice comments on our wedding pics!!!! smile)))

Thursday, October 9, 2008, 12:28:14 AM- Summer '08... I'll miss you :-(.. part ONE
I've been pretty lady with the NN stuff these days. Been sneaking into chat now and then, but otherwise lax. It's real icky outside tonight so I'm gonna be lazy in the house with my cozy piggy slippers on. Good time to blog a shitload of pics lol.

I promised some wedding pix, so here goes...
These aren't in order in my photobucket, so just bear with me.

Diesel having a temper tantrum during our short photo op after the ceremony. A friend of mine was lucky to catch this pic, it's awesome.

gettin hitched

now THIS is a 'you can now kiss the bride' kiss!

ridin off together with our super clean and shiny steeds

a few casual pics by the asswater pond

(before the ceremony) You can't tell, but my eyes were leaking here. I came downstairs from getting ready and my little boy was all beautiful and proud looking for me. I got totally choked up, he is so my pride and joy.

the men walking Mr. Puss's mare to the ceremony. A friend rode the piss out of her for us and washed her head to toe. She looked absolutely stunning.

Walking to the alter, Diesel whinnied our arrival. It was pretty fonny

The reception was the most fun I've ever had in my life. One evening spent with about 55 of the closest people to me. All we had was open bar self serve kegged beer and tons of wine. Some friends brought some grub and we partied. This pic sums it up very well! --- my mom thought the beer bottles looked awesome!

my sis was giving the one speech we had. (we asked no speeches, but she snuck one in lol) We had to white marquis tents with xmas lights in them

Dancin a drunken staggery first dance to "All I want is You" by Barry Louis Polisar... awesome cute song smile

We took the quad and trailer and got my lil HOINK. It's just not a party without her. I actually found an empty wine bottle in her room the next morning lol... I'm hoping it was placed there as a joke

I got lots more pics, but don't wanna include friends and family's faces... Considering the type of site this is lol.

The horses were amazing and on their best behavior. We had great food, great company and the kids got drunk LOL. We partied until 5 am, when Mr. Puss found me laying in the gelding's pasture in my wedding dress, prolly thought it was time to go to bed. We couldn't have asked for it go more perfect... Even if we had all the money in the world and all the flashy sparkly expensive wedding gear that can be purchased... Nothing can top that day, it was heavan.

Part TWO later. I wanna eat dinner now and posting pics takes forever lol.

Friday, August 15, 2008, 3:03:57 PM- Stupid client rant
So this chick who we've had for a few monthes is starting to slightly annoy me. Her mares back end was wonky for a while, swaying/wobbling and she'd drag her toes while she walked. She called a local well known (and ripoff) vet. He says OVER THE PHONE that this horse for sure has west nile. Which we know to be B.S. since Mr. Puss himself vacinnated her for it. But apparently we're idiots and her dad knows 'everything' and he agrees with the vet (without seeing the mare). I told her that the vet should never make a diagnosis like that over the phone and that the only thing he accomplished in doing so was getting her stressed out and upset. So vet comes out and gee whaddaya know, it's NOT west nile (wow, god CAN be wrong). But she's got a pinched nerve now and she'll most likely have to be put down because of her lack of stability she could fall on the ice in the winter and break a leg... (roll eyes here). So said client commences freaking out again, sure that her mare can't survive. I told her once again, that this vet is making assumptions and sometimes he should think inside his head instead of out loud. I'd be openly PISSED OFF if I was her. I can't imagine how much money she (er... daddy) spent on these vet appointments. I also think he's stringing her along, he knows her family very well and knows that daddy has cashola. Since the last time I talked to her, she's calmed down because she's sure it's a hock issue and not a pinched nerve. Because when she treats her for it, there is a visible improvement. I told her BOTH times that this vet is assuming and not to listen to him until tests are done and it's on the xrays or in the bloodwork. But apparently I'm stupid and Mr. Puss is stupid, I guess we have 40 horses here and we don't know what we're doing.

She whined about her gelding who has lots of battle scars on him from the group turnout. They were ugly marks, but none broke the skin. So we put her two horses in a double paddock. She thought she'd have to pay for just one, HA nice try girlie.

She comes up to the house last week (BIG no-no) to whine to me about the water. She thinks it's okay for her to start up the water truck and just have at er. Because her horses tub isn't full they must be dehydrating. I said "You can go ahead and try" and pointed at the water truck with the hoood propped open and battery plugged up to the charger. I said "You don't need to be doing that, that's what WE do... and if it needs to be done and isn't there is a REASON for it" I know how much her horses drink, and I just watered them the night before... they were not empty.

She bitched and whined to a regular/friend of ours last night again. When her horses water wasn't even empty... She asked her how easy it is to operate the water truck (it's an old dilapitated F150). Friend of ours said it's a real contraption and doesn't start half the time... then she went on to tell her we water twice a day and she doesn't need to be doing our work for us.

This is the same client who's ALSO whining about our hay source. It's freakin awesome hay, nice and clean, super heavy bales, good ratio of alfalfa/brome grass/timothy. But because it's cropped near the airport she thinks it's all laced with glycol (from the plane wings) from the planes flying overhead. So I guess all the horses are going to die of poisoning, even though I'm sure it's not glycol they use (probably alcohol)... not even that they do that in the wintertime. Hay is not there in the winter, it's a snow covered field of last years stubble.

Rich bitches facking annoy me.

Tuesday, August 12, 2008, 4:17:37 AM- Hurry up and fucking wait
Dog gammit. My mom phones while I was having a cat nap today, all pent up and excited. She said that my sister lost her mucus plug, she said it means she's going to go into labor VERY soon... Maybe even by tommorow. So I called my sis, cause my mom has a REALLY bad habit of exagerrating things and getting too rowled up. Sis is calm and cool, said that she feels fine and what not. I think she's getting sick and tired of everyone asking her how she's feeling and bugging her about having the baby lol. I know I'm sick of people asking about the wedding. If she has it before saturday I am going to be FACKIN happy as hell. If she has it on my honeymoon when I'm gone, I'm gonna be pretty disappointed.

She doesn't know if it's a boy or girl, so that just adds to the anticipation DAMMIT!

I say girl though. I keep having dreams of a brown haired lil girl.

Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 5:00:13 AM- Updates
Sorry I haven't been on much, I can tell by my flooding inbox how much you guys miss me LMFAO!

I got my Oinkertat last friday. Took just over three hours, this chicka was superfast. Hurt like a sonofa, but I'd rather it be fast and painful than slow and expensive LOL.

I'd post pics but it's peeling now and looks icky, itchy as FUCK too. It'll be good to go in a few days. I'll have a friend take good pics of it so I can email the artist for additions to her portfolio. It was her first piggytat so she's excited to have it in her album. Looks just like my lil Oink. It's awesome cause it is done and looks done, but I can add onto it later on in time.

My sister is pretty darn preggo. I know I said I wasn't exactly excited about it when I found out, but now I can't wait for the lil rugrat to pop out. She's changed since her preggo state, for the better. I've never seen her act so grown up and responsible, downright domesticated!! lol Any day now the belly will become a human larvae! yay

Nine Inch Nails was fucking spectacular last night. Probably the most impressive and creative stage show I've ever seen. The sound was awesome, a lil too awesome though... I wonder if Trent was lip syncing lol. Regardless it was a great show, even though the openers were fuckin weirdo. Crystal Castle I think they were called.

I had my bridal shower last weekend, it was super rippin. We went to a nice restraunt and got rowdy on the patio. Some rich old dicks all pulled up in ugly lambourginis with their escorts, complete with fake tits. So I mooned them all when we left, while we blasted Welcome to the Jungle in my sisters 89 Sierra. Stuck my bare ass out of the window and gave them a few slappy slap box shots. Eat the rich fuckers.

Mah dress is almost done. The stuff is all ordered. My primping appointments have been scheduled. Phew, so much to do now that it's comin down to the wire.

Working with Mr. Puss has been good, I love to be able to spend my days with him. Even though it's not quality time, we do have fun working together. I like learning new stuff.

Horsies are good. I haven't had much time to ride/train as much lately, but that's okay. As long as they behave for the wedding, which reminds me we have to do lots more practicing our walk and working Blue through his spooky brain worms. We'll have Diesel on stand by for the ceremony if Blue is stupid. Plus I want pics taken of me with him too, so he'll be out there anyways all prettyed up. He's my sweet awesome little boy, I can't not have him at the wedding lol.

Phew, I need to go to bed now. I hope everyone is having an awesome summer as well. It's going by WAYYY too fast though. sad

Saturday, July 19, 2008, 4:56:47 PM- New pics of Spideyman
A good friend of mine and I thought it'd be cute to to get pics of our boyz together, because they look so much alike. Hers is an off track TB, bred in kentucky and purchased as a yearling for 80,000.00. He went down the lines after a minor racing injury, and she ended up with him for 500 bux lol.

I think he takes after his dad the most, he's got nothing from Bella other than his eyes.

Ze big boy and ze little boy

Pretty faces

Gotta love my facial expressions in pics.

I thought I'd add this one, cause its cute. Spidey and his mom grooming eachother through the fence. The only horse I've seen her show her tender side with has been her own spawn.

Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 11:02:58 PM- OINKERTAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I already blogged today, but I was too excited not to blog this today lol.

I went for a consult appointment with a tattoo artist today with Mr. Puss. Her name's Katherine. Yes a FEMALE artist! Yay!... I always wanted to get inked by a chick. It went well, the first time I got an immediate good vibe from a tattoo artist since my cat tat. She sat and listened to me and what I wanted, the bits of information she added were what I was going to tell her.. such as "So you want this somewhat reminiscent of Wilbur from The Charlottes Web?"... BINGO, she gets the drift dammit. Very cutesy, happy, and fun... But still the pig has to look like Courtney, cause it is Courtney. Not portrait style but cartoony realistic. She didn't try and change my mind about anything, but took notes as I explained further the drawing I brought in. I couldn't explain to anyone how I want this to look so I drew it out myself, utilizing my semi mediocre drawing skillz. I brought her a bunch of pics of Courtney too. I think my preparation impressed her. She was super nice and moreso EXCITED about my idea, said how cute Courtney is and laughed as I told her stories about how funny she is. My last consult is booked for July 23rd, and on the 25th is when I get it inked onto my left calve muscle. Two days grace for room to tweak the design if needed. We told her that we're getting married soon and need it in time to heal before the honeymoon (to enable swimming). Which is why she booked for the actual tat NOW instead of booking after our next consult.

I just got a REALLY good vibe from this place and it's staff. It is deadly clean in there and everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Already ten times the service I've seen at most other tat studios I've been to, and during the research for my Oinkertat.. I've been to a few lol.

A good healthy "FUCK YOU" to the other two studios I've been to who shit on my idea. Especially the first shop that I blogged about, with the artist who smoked a joint before our appointment.

But, I'll still keep in mind a plan C in case something doesnt pan out. Cause you just never know.

For now, I'll just be happy because I can actually be excited about this! After studying her portfolio a few times and meeting with her, I'm MORE than confident she'll hit the bullseye.

Have I mentioned she's damn sweet and really hot?

Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 3:04:54 PM- Horseyblog update.
I'll start from the bottom, lol:

Spidey; He is getting fuckin huge. He's taller than Diesel (who is 2) and is looking awesome. He's gonna have his mom's muscling, but in a taller more leggy frame. Might make a fantastic dressage/jumping prospect. Mr. Puss and his son went out to get him for me the other night, his son walked him the whole way. No pulling, no refusals, no funny biz. Pretty awesome if a 7 year old can handle him now smile Had the farrier here last night, Spidey was fantastic for his trim (I was pretty leery about it, since he was only done once and doesn't much like his legs being held). Mr. Puss was beside himself with his behaviour. I have to puff my chest out a bit here, fukkin EH! I can do this baby rearing thing, peice of cake. I guess he learnt some balance from the couple of times he fell on his face.

Diesel: Somebody is officially rider broke. (I'd say saddle broke, but I don't use a saddle when riding him). He's finally gaining some girth so I don't feel like a fat kid on a tricyle on him. I jump on him in the pasture with his halter/leadrope on, ride him to the barn and around the yard. Took him for a walk on the track the other day, and he was super awesome. He even walks in a straight line. Bit schmit! lol. I should get him a hackamore for when we actually do the hairy stuff, like go faster than a walk lol. For now, I love just hanging out on my favorite boy. I'm more than happy just being up there at all. He's only 2 anyways, I won't be working him until he's 3. He's by far the sweetest horse I've ever known, and I raised the lil shit myself smile

Blue: I took the crazy shit off sweet feed. Although I like the amount of energy it gave him, it just encouraged his hypersensetive senses lol. I still feed him his 14% protein pellets and milled flax, to increase his fat/muscle mass (along with lots of riding), and for his coat/hoof health. I'm bringing him to a show with a friend here at the end of July. I don't think I'll do good, but it's not to win. Just for some experience under or belts. I've been working on our arena stuff lots lately, his canter is getting more and more balanced/controlled. I even rode him without a saddle last time, and practised our canter transitions. I swear he consciously gathers himself, probably because he feels me a lot more. Which can be bad, cause if I lose a beat he slows down. But that just makes me focus a lot more. I uber want a dressage saddle for us dammit. The english one I use doens't fit him anymore, and dressage is our sport of choice anyways. But they are too $$$$$$$.

Bella: We haven't been riding her much lately after the camping trip, so she's getting fat lol. I took her in the arena yesterday, and did our usual walk/trot... I can't canter her in there yet, her stride is much too long to maintain balance on the tight corners. But she was awesome to handle, which has always been the battle with her. She's much easier to catch, and is increasingly calm in the barn around commotion. The farrier came by to trim her two weeks ago, he's an older man we thought we'd try out. Experience speaks volumes with a horse like her. Mr. Puss said he was awesome with her, didn't get impatient or nervous. He even knew enough not to use his tool cart, instead held his nippers and rasp in his toolbelt and would even place them on the floor softly when he was done. NICE to find a farrier with actual horse sense!!!!! He knows Bella, said he recognized the brand on her butt. The farm she was raised at used her for urine collection (hormones from pregnant mare urine used to be used in Premarin... friggin menopause drug) then when that was stopped, they tried her as a bronc but wasn't nutzo enough... So they took her to an auction along with 20 other draft mares, nine of them got diagnosed with equine distemper and the next day at the auction 3 died. As grim as it was, I love to learn ANY history on her. One of my aspirations is to find a foal pic of her. So lately I just gotta put more time on her, get some of her weight off and practice riding her bareback (she HATES it). She's gonna look awesome at the wedding!

Phew, I'm done for now lol.
