Saturday, March 15, 2008, 8:09:54 AM- Just a horsey update on Blue...
I dunno if you guys remember, the grey arab I bought last October... We've hit some GOOD road bumps together. But he's really coming along VERY good. I'm soo impresses, I thought I'd blab about it here. Even tho most of you will be bored to TEARS lol...

Mr. Puss rode Blue for the second time today. I was trying out a friend's saddle, its a western and I need one for camping in May. It's a pretty slim tree, but Blue is a really slim horse so I wasn't sure. So I put it on and did a walk, trot, canter. It sits on him nice, high and not sinking on his wither. It's not the prettiest colour on him (cream suede) but it'll do the trick. Then after seeing how good and calm Blue was being I asked Mr. Puss to get on him. He did some walking, then some trotting, then I made him canter being sure to clarify that he needs to only cue the outside leg to encourage the right lead.... He did exactly that, and Blue did exactly what I hoped. Picked up the right lead every time. In both directions.

Mr. Puss looked so good riding him. Kept him to the outside of the arena and held his balance during the transitions very well. I was so impressed!!! He's quite the rider. There is something awe inspiring about a georgeous man on a beautiful horse. You just can't get enough of it. I was SOO proud of them both.

Blue has come SOOOOO far you guys. He's a totally different horse. His intelligence is fascinating, you show him something once and its in there for good. I think he can go VERY far with anything I ask him to. He seems to love arena work so I do think that dressage is the sport for him. He doesn't get bored with all those little things that have to be perfected. He'll do something over and over again if Im having a problem with it, and he won't complain... wont pin ears, wont head toss etc.... He'll just plod along until I give him a new cue. He's just awesome under saddle now. He makes me want to push myself farther.

I'm so happy with Blue, I've learnt SOO much and gained so much confidence in myself. I have him to thank. I show him gratitude every day. I think he knows he's deeply loved.

Monday, March 10, 2008, 8:58:21 PM- Random Blatherings
Some of my family from my mom's side can't make it to my wedding, because of location and work. I didn't expect my gramma to come because of her health. So my aunt's are going to throw another reception for me at my gramma's house in B.C. (Okanagan Valley). They are all soooo excited about it, as if it was the actual wedding. Mr. Puss and I are taking two weeks after the wedding to pull the fifth wheel to my hometown for a bit, than up the coast line for a few days camping and stuff. I'm SOOO excited, moreso for the road trip honeymoon than the actual wedding. People have started receiving their invitations, so now I feel better. It's actually happening (I have this weird paranoia, whenever something good happens something wrecks it).

The kittens are still little bastards. They have a pallette for the finer things in life, such as headphone cords (2 pairs), cell phone screens, used tampons and cell phone chargers. They also get a kick out of running and slamming themselves into the bedroom door at night. Sometimes they get the door open and launch themselves on our heads. But they is cute lol. They'll chill out once their deballed. Mr. Puss and I will be doing their shots so that will save us a couple hundred bucks. The Spay and Neuter clinic here does em for 50.00 a pop. We have to go to the critter pharmacy soon anyways. Me LOVES shopping there.

I'm SOOOO proud of Mr. Puss. He rode Bella yesterday, all by himself! He's not very experienced with such green horses, nor is he with two handed riding. But apparently she was a REAL good girl for him. The barn was full of people and horses and all the barnies were watching them at the gate, but she was cool as a cuke. There is something about him that calms her, it picks my ass cause I'M the horsie one in this relationship lol. He's always had an easier time catching her, she took a liking to him early on. It's really cute to see his horsemanship opening up again and developing so much. I was spying on him while he took her back out to her pasture by the house, she even walks so much calmer with him. Head down and everything lol. Sure is a nice sight to see, a beautiful man and his beloved horse. We're taking the horses camping in May. After his first official ride with her yesterday he got everyone fired up about a nice weekend trail ride. A few of the horses coming are super calm and experienced on the trails, so it should all be fun and easy. I'll just have to feed Blue some hash oil in his beet pulp or something LMFAO!

A friends dog might have to get put down soon. He is showing signs of Lupus. Last night he was so weak he didn't even get up off the floor to pee. sad I feel so bad for her. This woman is the type of person who'd pay ANYTHING to have a pet fixed. She paid 9000.00 to have a stray cat taken care of who was hit by a car in front of her house. She just got this dog from some other family who discarded him like a dirty shirt. He's such a sweet boy, looks like a small verison of a Newfie but he's a Husky x. This is pretty shocking news. He was so tired in the barn last night but we all assumed it was from trying to catch up with my Rocky Dog out in the melting snow. The prognosis isn't definate yet, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Friend of mine at the club hooked me up with a guy who is interested in taking my peeeekture. He showed me some of his work on friday night and explained some stuff to me. I told him I'd have to muster up the confidence to be able to play 'model diva'. Starting out with getting to know him better first. Mr. Puss and I hung out with him a few times at the club, he's a really fun interesting dood. Did some work for Trent Reznor even. After seeing his portfolios I beleive it. It's my kinda art, and I look forward to being a part of it in the future. Have a look-see if you're bored www.hauntingimagery.com I am LOVIN the windows and doors.

K... I'm done. Back to the barn for now.

Wednesday, February 27, 2008, 12:55:44 AM- Dammit
I have been conversing back and forth with some customer support peeps at Nordstroms about the dress. All of my size and close to my size are sold out in that particular dress. They suggested other dresses that are kinda the same style, but I don't like any of em.

I'm a picky bitch that way. Bridezilla it up.

SOOO strike 1, onwards and upwards.

Monday, February 25, 2008, 1:16:19 AM- I've decided on the dress...
I'm not a big poofy princess type dress kinda chick. Plus considering I'm going to be outside trompin around in the grass all day, and probably drunken marshmallow roasting a big fancy, formal expensive dress won't be a good idear. I won't be able to find exactly what I want so I'm ordering one online to have it altered by a seamstress. To make it horse friendly and add a few elements of interest.

I can have the center split where it's all ruffly and have another layer of dress underneath, in another colour, to allot space for riding Blue during the ceremony. I also want off the shoulder straps added on. Chiffon type, draping down my shoulders.

Mr. Puss loves the back.

Thursday, February 21, 2008, 12:02:48 AM- Drama in the henhouse
My chickens are bitches.

They pick on this one red sussex, they just peck her back to shreds if we put her in there with them. They all came at once, and were raised together. But for some reason they turned against her. We put her alone til she heals, then Mr. Puss tries to put her back... Only I have to come to her rescue a few days later. Today I was doing chores in the barn, and I could hear this really eery cry. Not even chickenlike, sounded like a kid actually. So I snuck down to the coop side of the barn, I peek around the water truck and find a chicken partially out of the bottom rail of the sliding stall door... obviously trying to dig her way the fuck out. She looked up at me and cried that weird whine again. I carefully slide the door open, sure not to squish her in half. Sure enough, those catty bitches all got her by the ass. They are all taking turns pecking her back, which is all bloddy by now.

I kick the dumb cunts away, and threaten the asshole rooster with my evil eye. Bent down and gingerly gathered her in my arms. She not only didn't fight me, but she cuddled deeper into my jacket while shaking.

Seriously this made me so mad I almost cried for her. I yelled at the chickens "You stupid bitches, I hate you!" Then I went and got the Bleu spray for her. Cleaned her up, and put her back in her solitary stall. She loves it in there, got her own bale of hay to perch on and make a nest out of. She doesn't have to fight for food and water. She won't even try to escape if I leave the door open to get scratch. I think she knows thats her safe place. Seriously, chickens are a lot smarter than anyone gives them credit for. They have a thought process. She knows when she's in trouble to call me or come to me.

Those chickens made me SO MAD today...I want to get rid of them all, but her. Mr. Puss says solitary chickens always die. But I know this to be false, a friend of mine had a pet barnyard chicken for years. Maybe I can get her a lil duck as a companion. Ducks are pretty timid. Or maybe it's all the rooster's fault. He get's them all fired up all the time. I think he likes watching a bitchfight.

Friday, February 15, 2008, 5:18:56 PM- Valentines Day
Our first plan was to do the nice restraunt thing, but we didn't know where to go that wouldn't already have all reservations filled. SO I thought we could for a drive to the town where I fell in love with Mr. Puss. A tiny lil farm community of about 1400 people. There is a pub there we'd go to for chicken wings, beer and late night games of spoons and Jenga with the owners lol.

So the plan was to get all dressed up as if we were really going 'out on the town' then head out for the hour and a half drive to Joe Pete's (we always called it 'Smakin Joe Peters') lol. I was in a dark green satin halter top with my black dress pants and hair and make-up done. Mr. Puss in his nice jeans and chocolate brown long sleeved dress shirt and Danier jacket.

When we arrived to the town Legal, a flood of nostalgia came over us and we felt as if we were home again. As happy we are with what we have here in this trailer and the farm, we still miss 'the good ol days'. No stress then, no obligations other than our newfound hearts. The magical excitement of learning about one another and developing the foundation for a love so strong and pure no words can sufficiently place. It was so crazy, it caught us completely off-guard. We were so in awe of how easy it was, and how easy it still is.

I'd drive out to his place, which was well over an hour away, every thursday after work. With my sunbird full of laundry and dog (I'd bring Rocky with me, he was such a good boy there). I'd go for a run with Rocky after arriving, then start dinner for him when he got home from work. Normally he'd round the corner to be greeted by a dark, cold, empty house. But when the lights were on in the window he knew I'd be in there. The house would be warm, inviting and full of life. His heart would skip a beat when he seen my car in his driveway. Rocky would maul him with an erratically wagging tail and kind eyes as if to day "HI dad, where you been!?"

I used to stay there on work nights sometimes, I'd leave his house at 3:30 am to be at work for 5 am. He'd run out to dig my car out of snow and start the engine for me, while I was still inside the house rubbing sleep out of my eyes and grumbling. He loved having me there so much, I couldn't bear to leave him there alone. I actually told him to get a cat, to give the house life when I wasn't there, even if it's 'just a cat'... it's something there when you get home to greet you... to give the house a personality.

Thanks to his ex, we had to leave that house. She wanted 'her' half. Yup, she cheats on him for two years, takes his kids... his life away from him and just for a lil extra kick in the gut she demands her half of the house, so he had to sell. Which, in the end, turned out just fine for us, everything happens for a reason.

Last night while we drove up to the parking lot of Smakin Joe Peters we see the sign is changed, now it's just 'Joes'. We drive around the corner to the house, just to have a quick peek at it before heading back to the pub parking lot. I seen through the window a few staff members I didn't recognize. We opened the door to the lounge, expecting a few large tables of young farm kids watching some sports game and eating wings, making a ruckus. Internet 'juke box' blaring, and the familiarity of faces we knew. Faces that were in the backround of our first memories together. But there was nothing, but blackness. No lights on, no tables, no tvs, no nothing. Mr. Puss says to the waitress in the restraunt side "WHAT HAPPENED?!" She obviously not knowing what he meant said "She doesn't have a license yet".

Our hearts dropped a bit, as we sulked and turned away back to the jeep. We were just so sad and disappointed. We were so excited to see everyone again, to tell them how we've been and what we've been doing and what our plans are. But everyone was gone, probably onto bigger and better things like college. One of the girls wanted to move 'the hell' out of that town. To what, who knows.

So we headed back to the city, had dinner at an old Cajun restraunt Mr. Puss knew of. Dinner was good, the company was better. Despite our plans not working out, everything fell into place. I'm so proud of who I have, for what we've found, for the force that we as a couple are. We are indestructable. We are best of friends through and through, the deep rooted passion we have towards eachother creates the intimacy that is beyond just best friends. We show our appreciation for eachother everyday, no favor or action goes unnoticed. The smallest thing can strike a chord in ways we aren't even fully conscious of at the time.

Valentines day has nothing to do with large expensive materialistic gifts. Mundane and expected flowers and chocolate and obligatory romance. I hope everyday will always feel like valentines day.

Monday, February 11, 2008, 2:47:36 AM- I lost my sis and will ge her back in about... 7 monthes.
Shes the bitchyest preggo I have ever known. She came over to the barn last fri night to see her horses and maybe feel better. Well she didn't even bother getting either of them, just came into the barn and started snapping at anyone who'd listen.

Mr. Puss started randomly chatting to her about the lesson lady here and how we should be charging her for use of our facilities, sis started to get fired up and argumentative... Over something that she had no place opinionating about. THEN she goes on about taking "her dog" back home. HA, good luck. Once someone abandons their critter with me, it's MINE. If he meant so much to her she wouldn't have left him here in the first place. Now she just wants something to hold over our heads.

Preggo or not, I'll slap her like a bitch if she ever tries to steal my dog out of spite. It would be out of spite because she knows he's happy here with his buddy and limitless room to roam and freedom. Plus every day is full of people who all shower him with attention. Her roommate left Rocky with me when she left a year and a half ago, I sure as FUCK wouldn't let her take him back. Same story goes.

She's like PMSing ALLL the time. It's fucking mental carnage I tell you. She is pissed that she has zero money, no job and no life. She drives her boyfriends car and he holds that over her head at any moment's notice. Hell he doesn't even 'let' her drive at night. She's carrying his baby and he can't even help her with board or even just spending money to go for coffee with or etc. She also refuses to work or find any kind of light duty job.

She took her broodmare (Diesel's mom) home, along with her weaned foal. Now they our out in a barb wire surrounded field, to be forgotten about along with the other semi-feral horses owned by her roommate. They'll just go to waste, and that picks my ass because Diesel's mom is a damn sweet horse and would make a really good saddle horse if given the time and energy... But that's going to be all lost now.

She's just so facking stubborn, depressed and self centered. Her attitude here last fri night made me embarassed for her, and that's just one example of her temperment change. Not only since she got knocked up, but since she moved out with her boyfriend.

I just have a bad feeling about it, about her man, about her pregnancy and her situation. Nothin I say or anyone will say will ever make any sense to her. She'll fuck up so bad she'll FINALLY get it, but then it'll be too late... She'll be so far in a rut she won't be able to get out.

phew.... rant over.

Friday, January 25, 2008, 3:20:27 AM- This is freakin cool...
and I'm not a real fan of the jumping sport, lots of horses are xxxxxx to jump and don't frickin like it, lots of them are pushed beyong their physical means, resulting in acute and often chronic injury. But judging by the jump this horse was asked to clear, and the amount of air between... I think he likes it lol.
