The girl who took the Bella pics is the one who's doing our wedding photography. She is damn awesome. I swear the facking horses pose for her.

Bella's field is adjacent to our trailer, I NEVER see her move ever. So I'm loving these pics.


Her back end looks like "wheeeeee". See how bad her feet were? I just had her trimmed last tuesday. It was the first time probably EVER this 10 yr old girl ever had a trim done properly. Without the use of a tip table, tranqs, or ropes. I was so proud of her for trusting me I was fighting the tears. The farrier was even impressed, we've done a lot with our trainer.


She had a really long mane, til she rubbed it out last summer.

Friend of mine, who own's the big boy, and I thought it'd be cute to take pics of our babies together. They are both 1 1/2 years. Her's is a purebred Percheron. He's a damn sweetheart.

He's such a good boy. NOTHING freaks him out, I can throw shit at him, on him, around him, make noise with bells and whistles, I can blindfold him and lead him around. Which is why I'd rather raise my own, no one seems to spend enough time on the fundamentals required for a super quiet saddle horse.

ANNND I'm done. Phew I need a nap now.

So our friends brought us over two kittens to choose from last week. hee hee hee.. of COURSE I got to keep both, jeezzz whaddaya think I am? lol. They are soo attached we just had to. Both are grey and white, one is fluffy and has lots of white, the other is short haired and his legs, chest are white. I have no clue what to name them still. I just call them KEEEEEEETTENS!!!! lol.

SO, my stupid cat came home last night. He must have felt the encroaching danger of having his spot replaced by KEEETTENS and decided to take over. Mow had a look of guilt and shame on his face when Chester came in to see him playing with the new babies... "Um... whaddareya doin home buddy???... um.... it's not how it looks" lol. So we have FOUR kitties in this facking tin can of a dwelling. Yes we are the crazy cat couple now.

Speaking of couple, Mr. Puss and I have set a date. August 16th it is. We're doin it at home out in the field. A real fast, but very unique ceremony (complete with flower laden horses). Mr. Puss and I barefoot and bareback on our trusty steeds will meet up at the alter from opposite sides of the track. I don't do traditional walking up the aisle crap. Very casual picnic/bonfire ripfest party afterwards.

Friend of mine who was hounding me to take a kitten a while ago is gonna bring three over tommorow for me to choose from. They are a bit older than I was looking for, and they are all males But I may as well check em out anyways. I prefer females, they always make nicer pets. I still haven't found or heard Chester anywhere.

I seen an old friend that I met when I moved to Alberta in '05. She was my sis's roommate and she's the one who got me the job with the piggies, she facking saved my ass. I lost touch with her after my boss fired her and things went bad between her and my sis then she moved out. It was so nice to see her, I hope she'll stay in contact with me, her work is just around the corner from our place.

My dad called yesterday while I was in the barn busy with critters, Mr. Puss needed help with some stuff outside, so it was a bad time for him to phone and blab incoherents. He gets pissed at me whenever I'm busy and don't want to talk, about nothing. I'm sick of him phoning and picking my ass. I do NOT need to feel guilty because he has NO life. I just want him to go away. How do you divorce a parent?

My baby boy Diesel is so smart, so trusting and so willing to learn. Hes much to young to ride yet, but I lunged him with a saddle on... cinched up and everything. He couldnt care less, I even took turns putting a toe in each stirrup and shifting the saddle around. Then I just jumped and hung over his back, he doesn't even care. I'm gonna get some equipment to start ground driving him (driving on foot) just because he's so fun to play with (train lol). Watch him buck me clear off in a year when he's ready to ride lol.

Chester, my orange male tabby (most orange cats are male lol) moved out. Mr. Puss kicked him and Mow out last saturday when we were cleaning the house finally. He hasnt been in sice then. I heard him meowing from underneath the C-Can (a big storage container, you see them on barges all the time... usually full of chinese). SO, we begin trying to coerse him out. We tried food, water, just calling him, scaring him, smoking him out (we lit a smudge and got the house fan under there) and I even crawled underneath. It's set on a big ass H beam, I can just barely slide underneath until I hit the middle. Chester would just go to the other side. I had a corn broom with me, but this thing is 46' long. This corn broom is about 5' long. Grr... So THEN we called in the big guns. My sister's man drive a tow truck for big trucks. It's got a 35 or so ton winch on it, with fancy hydrolic stablizers and everythin. He hooks up one corner to pull it free of the frost, BLAMMO Chester runs out. Runs through Mick and Ruby's paddock, straight to the back of the shop.

Now the dumb fucking stupid cat is under THERE, and is NOT coming out. Specially after the tow truck episode. I'm sure the tow truck could tip that up, but I don't think the landlord would like us destroying his shop much.

Mow is uber lonely, and I am as well. I've NEVER had just one cat... It's just not right. I have a thing with owning at least two of an animal. They need company when we're not around. Domestic cats really aren't solitary. So I'm gonna get a kitten, since I wanted once for a while anyways. Now I have a viable excuse "Mow needs a play mate". If Chester comes back then he can get to know his new buddy.

For now I'll keep calling him a few times a day and checking the local SPCA website for him. Although I don't think anyone CAN catch him, he's terrified of his own breath.. no way any stranger could get near him outside. Not with food, not with nothing. His fear outweighs his instint to live, I'm pissed off to think that he'll prolly die under the shop. There's no water out there (no water in -20 celcius) and he's NOT a mouser at all.

WOWZERS did we ever have fun. The private club we go to held a black tie affair at a hotel in town. Everybody was dressed in their best, gowns and suits and everything. It was fully catered and very tastefully organized/decorated, we also had the WHOLE 4th floor to ourselves. Room to room everybody was partying and/or having other kinds of fun (mwaa haa haa haa). WE met some and flirted with some really cool people, got hammered and a bit more chemically heightened, shared a room with another couple we like (we went back to our room pretty much as soon as the ball dropped, pun intended! lol) ... The rest is on the cameras. NO I won't be posting the pics/vids. FACK NO!!! You'll just have to take my word for it.

In closing: MMF's are fucking FUN AS HELL!

Even all that aside, without the special fun, the party itself was awesome. Good time with very good, fun, classy, open minded/hearted folk. I can't wait til next years!!!

drool.... drooooooool. His stud fees are UBER expensive, but they advertise discounts for non Gypsy mares. I think he'd make an awesome mix with Bella. Says he throws his colour with a palamino, black or a bay.

Mr. Puss politely asked me to make coffee for us this morning. I knew something was suspicious then, since he's always the first one up making coffee.... He sneaks out of bed quietly as not to wake me yet. So when he's insistent on me getting up first I knew what was up.

Even tho we both consider ourselves married in our hearts, it'll still be exciting to make it 'official'. Which will be summer '09 here at the ranch. I already have it planned out, my mom will lead Blue up to the isle with a leadrope made of flowers. His mane and tail will be all curled and leaden with flowers and chiffon. Diesel can give the kids carriage rides around the track, it's gonna rock.

As much as he knows my taste, I guess my fingers are a bit more stubby than they look (note the pinky finger setting LOL)

I had a huuuge inclincation that Mr. Puss bought me a saddle for christmas. So I posted my thoughts on another horsey site where some friends go. Friend of mine said I could be in for a lot more than a bargained for. OOHHH HOOO, what the fack???!!! I want to train my yearling to drive and I know I asked him to make me a lil cart I can strap on to a makeshift circincle and breastplate. oohhhhh hooo..... Maybe he bought me a cart, but I coudln't see that. Those carts are uber expensive.

Fackin hell, this is totally driving me nutso.

I have NO idea what to buy him, other than clothes. Clothes are so boring tho.
