OK, I am probably wrong about this, it has no basis that I know of, but today I had about 4 random events converge at once that caused me to have an "ah ha" moment. In the next few days I will know for sure, but if I was a betting man....

Whatever that might be for you at this moment in time, I hope you find it. A lot of people have been blogging about some pretty heavy thing, some pretty trivial thing, some happy things, some sad. Regardless, blogging is where a lot us us just share what's up in our world because it a safe place to say things that you might not want to share out there in the "real world". So whatever you need, I hope it comes to you....

I think my Fourth will involve boats, good food, good friends and fireworks. What does anyone else have in mind for a great way to spend the day?

Going to enjoy and evening doing pot luck with friends then spend some time tomorrow just kicking back. Creek bankin' as they say!

Every Mother's Son

Listening to Sinatra. Charlie has joined me in the den. Dawn comes early and today at work should be hell on wheels, but I can't sleep.

It started for the pictures, and they are great and sexy. Moved on to spending time in status and started to follow certain peoples' postings, from there to blog where I still follow several peoples' posts. I am willing to bet the 85% of the time I am on NN now it is in blog, rarely look at all the sexy pics anymore. It is about the people, the community, the personality.

Back 30+ years ago, I was the guy that all of the girls loved to talk to because I was the "nice guy". When the other guys were bad boys who broke their hearts, it was my shoulder they always cried on. The most often thing I heard was "why can't more guys be like you; smart, sweet, cute and caring?" OK fast forward lots of years. Women always say they want a nice guy, pick a bad guy, let the nice guy help them back on their emotional feet then forget about him to seek another bad guy. It still seems to be the "bad guys" that get the women, the nice guys that pick up the pieces but not the women. Really, can anyone explain this to me? It seems the more BS a guy spews the more women enjoy it. One of life's great mysteries.

Knew it was coming, a long time happening, 22 of my 55 years. I can't stop crying today...
