OK, how many of you love this time of year and who many hate it? Just one of those questions. I would have to say I will always think the best Christmas of my life was long ago when I could finally give more than I received, and I mean that both materiel and from the heart. I cannot define the joy I got from giving. I hope all have a special moment in the next few weeks.

My future ex wife has finally decided her attorney is an idiot who is just trying to stretch out the divorce so he can charge more money. So, after 2 1/2 years of separation she has agreed to sit down with me and talk about finishing this. I believe we can reach an agreement, finalize this and move on with our lives. Part of me is sad, half of my life was invested in her and truthfully I still love her. The other half is happy to be moving forward, starting over. I know that even though I love her I cannot live with her nor she with me. It is best we move on, and it has long since been time. Hope it goes well.

First off, I know my life is pretty much a train wreck and I have enough to do just taking care of myself. That said, I am worried about one of my friends that may have taken a wrong turn on the relationship side. She seems really happy and I am very happy for her, but something about this one just doesn't seem right. I hope I am wrong, she is a good friend and has overcome some hurtful relationships in the past so I don't want this one to go that way as well, but I am afraid it is not going to have a happy ending. Ah well, I'll be there for her be it good, bad or indifferent, thats what friends do.

Do you ever think it would be easier to go through life only thinking of yourself, using others for what they can do for you and just generally taking it all and running? Problem is that damn heart that cares and feels for others. I swear one day I am going to bury that sucker in cement so thick it will never get in the way again!

I have, very literally, thousands of acquaintances. I looked at my phone today, I have 3,500+ contacts who I actually know. I think I have about 20 friends. That me seem odd, but while I am a VERY social person, I am very closed in many ways to all but a few. And my friends ROCK. I love all of them more than a brother or sister, they are a part of me and I am a part of them. Every day I am thankful for my very special, very wonderful, friends.
