I was amazed the other day.. I wanted a new Gmail account.. To get one is needed me to recieve a Text with a code to type in. Of coure, my land line could not recieve the text...

you might call your phone provider and ask them to turn text to landline on. but, cell phones don't bite

here you can get a free phone from the government if your income is low. might be worth looking into. its nice to know you have an emergency line no matter what
